Patricia Queen Meredith, 80, of the Beaverdam Community in Canton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May, 22, 2024.
She was the daughter of the late Ralph “Dick” Queen and Hazel Parker Queen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brigadier General William Thomas Meredith USAF (Ret.)
Patricia had a 25 year career as an Executive Secretary and Real Estate Paralegal in Washington, D.C. and Virginia.
Patricia enjoyed gardening, canning, shopping, working crossword puzzles, sewing for family, traveling to Florida during winter months, watching hummingbirds and wildlife, and a good game of scrabble. She was a member of Beaverdam Methodist Church.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Trisha Queen Roosa and her husband, Robert of Ocala, Florida; son, Paul Edwin Carson and his wife, Cathy of Canton, North Canton; special step-son, Jeffrey Donald Carson of San Mateo, Carolina; two brothers, Ray Queen (Anita) of Canton, North Carolina, and Richard Queen of Lynchburg, Virginia; a sister, Vicki Queen Hall of Clyde, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Skyler Gutierrez of Lynchburg, Virginia, Tristan and Cayden Carson of Canton, North Carolina, Hayley and Kaitlyn Alvord of Ocala, Florida, and the extended family of General Meredith.
To honor her life, a visitation service will be held from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
